14U Coach's Award Criteria

To reward individual player’s dedication, coaches will present a Coach’s Award to players who demonstrate exemplary commitment and enthusiasm during the season. The Club will pay the school volleyball sports fee for players earning a Coach’s Award. Coaches will set the criteria for their team’s Coach’s Awards.


 
     
Green Team
  A player who comes to practice ready to learn.
A player who does what she is asked during practice without discussion.
A player who pays attention to the coach and doesn't constantly talk while the coach is talking.
A player who shows willingness to change.
A player who trusts her coach to give her advice that will make her a better player.
     
Blue Team  

The Coach's Awards will go to three players who:

*motivate the team
*show a positive attitude

*hustle during practices and games

*try their best
*give 100% in practices and games
*cheer positively for teammates and other players
     
Yellow Team   The Coach's Awards will go to three players who:
  1. have a positive attitude, like to smile.
2. gives her best, always.
3. are ready to work, want to learn and improve her skills.
4. are flexible, accepts change without complaining.
5. show respect for coaches and teammates by not talking out of turn, and doesn't talk back.
6. are awesome cheerleaders and support the team!
     
Red Team   The Coach's Awards will go to three players who, over the course of the season, have demonstrated most frequently the skills of effort, leadership, and discipline. Players demonstrating desired behaviors will be rewarded each practice with stickers. These behaviors are:
  *Leading by example
*Helping others
*Putting team before self
*Cheering and high 5s
*First to work
*Being responsible
*Accepting change
*Self-discipline
     
Purple Team   The coaches of the Purple team will select three players from each practice based on their effort and work on practicing good volleyball habits such as starting each play ready to play the ball, calling for the ball, calling for help when needed, and positive communications with team mates during practice. Also considered will be players' efforts to follow coaching and learn new skills / techniques. At the end of the season, three players who have been selected the most times for effort and teamwork during each practice will win the Purple Team Coach's Awards.
     

 

Be sure to bring these to practice each time:

*Water bottle (full of water, of course!)

*Knee pads

*Court shoes (change your shoes before coming onto the court)

*Great volleyball attitude!
